Megan’s Story: Kyle Eddings

“I got married almost 4 years ago to a wonderful man, Kyle Eddings. I was single until 31, and dating ‘like a part time job’…no joke! We met on a blind date… a real blind date; he did not even have Facebook.

Kyle believed in me and supported from the day we met. I never realized that it would be his support (and his stinky workout clothes) that would propel me to start my entrepreneurial journey with Accel Lifestyle.

So, what is Accel Lifestyle and how did I get here?

I’d been in a thriving career in medical sales for nearly 13 years, and I absolutely loved it. However, I always felt that there was something missing: Certain skill sets that I had were not being used and I was not being challenged in a profound way. I’d learned the art of strategic selling, the importance of being honest and trustworthy, but I it wasn’t until years later did I find out what my calling truly was: to be an entrepreneur. By creating something the world needs and sharing my story of doing so, I hope to inspire others to make changes in their life, so they can be happier and more fulfilled.

Kyle and I are super into fitness and when we first got married, I was washing his workout clothes and I was grossed out, for lack of better words, by the smell of his shirts. He wore the common wicking material that we all love because it feels cool, but I also noticed it was this same fabric that smelled horribly. I could not wash the smell out and I tried everything…and I really do mean everything.

This is where my knowledge of science and biochemistry came into place, propelled by my love for those things we cannot see. I knew there was something happening within the fabric because it never smells when you buy it, but I did not know the details. Both Kyle and I started researching how we would create the ‘perfect fitness fabric’, specifically for shirts.

This took about 1 year of extensive research and the testing of existing fabric and it took me 3 years to develop the now patent-pending Prema™ anti-stink fabric. While working on inventing ‘the perfect fabric’, Kyle was a Director of an Oil and Gas Company and I was still in medical sales and working all of the time: between my medical sales job and developing fabric, there was not enough time in the day for much else.

My husband and I were driving home from one of those awesome Tex-Mex brunches that Houston is known for and when we pulled in the driveway, he told me to stay in the car as he had to talk to me about something.

Kyle saw me ‘burning the candle at both ends’ and suggested that I resign from my medical sales career and pursue Accel Lifestyle: Ethical and sustainable fitness apparel with anti-stink technology, fulltime. I truly felt a weight was lifted from my shoulders when he suggested this.

Kyle believed in me so much, that my salary (or lack of salary when starting a company) was not even a factor. He does not just think Accel Lifestyle will be wildly successful, he knows it will be; and he instills confidence in me, especially when this entrepreneurial life gets pretty discouraging and challenging.

Our team launches Accel Lifestyle at the end of Q2 2019 and we are proud to say that our fabric is patent pending in 120 countries, and everything is ethically produced. From fiber to finished garment, everything is made right here in the USA. We are launching with 6 styles of shirts, 4 styles for women and 2 styles for men.

My team and I believe in always doing the right thing, for the environment and for humanity, Accel Lifestyle is indeed aimed to start a movement for positive change.”

  1. I am a friend of Megan and Kyle and I am certain that Accel Lifestyle will be a gigantic success. I also know first hand that these two are kind, loving and most importantly, very giving individuals. I have experienced first hand their selfless giving and count them as very important people in my life.
